 My name is RJ Mello, and I am a Colorado-based visual artist of Azorean and Polish descent. Storytelling is my craft; while painting and design are my mediums. The focus of my career is to tell traditional stories through a modern-day lens. As a queer person who grew up in separate homes with unique cultures, my early adulthood has been centered around finding my identity in a modern world while honoring my ancestors. My art is a direct reflection of that journey.
